Jiangxi, which is adjacent to the provinces of Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Hunan, Hubei, Anhui, is situated in the southern bank of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The longest river in Jiangxi province is Gan river which crosses the province from south to north. The capital city of Jiangxi province is the city of Nanchang.
